Vintage German Beer Stein with Pewter Lid | Tall Hand-Painted Relief Tavern Scene Mug

Vintage German lidded beer stein with a colourful hand-painted tavern scene in raised relief. The moulded stoneware body shows villagers in traditional dress, framed by rope-twist borders and bands of cream and warm orange. It has a pewter hinged lid with thumb lift and a sturdy handle – a classic German souvenir stein, lovely for display or occasional use. • Origin: Germany (unmarked, typical West German souvenir ware) • Date: mid–late 20th century • Material: moulded stoneware with hand-painted glazes, pewter lid • Design: raised tavern / dancing couple scene, rope-twist borders, cream and orange bands Great on a bar cart, man cave shelf or rustic kitchen, and a nice gift for a beer lover or Oktoberfest fan. In good vintage condition. Bright colours and crisp relief. Light age-related wear: small surface marks, minor glaze imperfections and rubbing to the base and pewter lid, but no cracks or major damage. Hinge and lid work well.
