This vintage ceramic fruit compote was produced under the Leonardo brand, well known in the UK for decorative ceramics and homeware from the 1970s–1990s. The piece features a classic white pedestal bowl filled with sculpted, hand-painted fruits including apples, grapes, plums, and peaches, accented with green leaves. Inspired by traditional Capodimonte-style Italian designs, it was made as an ornamental centrepiece for the dining table or sideboard. The colours are bright and vibrant, and the piece is structurally sound. There are a few small areas of paint wear and minor surface marks typical of age, most noticeable on the purple plums (see photos for detail). No cracks or repairs noted.
